    Opening Plenary

    Examining the Interplay between Climate and Development

    The opening plenary of I4C brings together high-level speakers from government and the World Bank Group to explore how to successfully integrate climate and development objectives to shape a green and resilient future that leaves no-one behind. It will showcase examples of high-impact solutions being implemented by governments to transform their economies.




    Plenary II 

    Putting a Price on Carbon to Reach Net Zero 

    Wednesday, May 25, 2022     I     8:00 am EDT

    Day 2's plenary will be held in collaboration with the Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC), to which the World Bank Group is Secretariat. Ministers, CEOs, and climate experts will come together to share their views on carbon pricing as a driver of decarbonization to reach net zero. Speakers will share their experiences of incentivizing action through carbon pricing and carbon markets.

    Plenary III 

    Financing Transformative Climate Action 

    Thursday, May 26, 2022     I     8:00 am EDT

    The final plenary of I4C will focus on the role of the financial sector to drive finance towards achieving countries 2030 climate goals and longer-term net zero commitments. Leaders from business and finance will discuss the tangible, proven solutions that the financial sector should be prioritizing ahead of 2030 and how longer-term pledges of financial institutions can be effectively tracked.
